Brittney King was recognized as Beulah Park Elementary School’s Student of the Month during the Zion Elementary District 6 School Board of Education meeting held Monday, April 16, 2018.

Though Brittney was unable to attend, Lynn Butera, Beulah Park Elementary School Principal, presented the kindergarten student as the recipient of the Excellence Without Exception Student of the Month for Beulah Park School. “Although Brittney is only in kindergarten, she represents the best of what we would like all District 6 students to become. Brittney is one of the most caring, thoughtful and respectful children I have had the privilege of knowing. She is kind beyond a fault. This little girl has a unique quality about her, as she always seems to know when another is in need of a gentle smile, a compassionate comment or a simple hug. With her soft-spoken ways, Brittney conveys respect to everyone she encounters, whether it is an adult or another child.” stated Mrs. Butera.

“In addition, Brittney strives for academic excellence. She is an excellent reader and mathematician. Her quest for knowledge is evident as she interacts with others in science and social studies activities. Brittney has received words of praise from all the staff in the areas of Physical Education, Art, Music, Computers, Learning Center and STEM.”

Brittney will receive a PBIS Student of the Month certificate in recognition of her efforts.
