ACCESS for ELL

Beulah Park's ELL staff.Beulah Park Elementary School is set to start administering the Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners, ACCESS for short, January 28, 2019. ACCESS is an English language proficiency assessment given to students in grades K-6 who have been identified as English Language Learners. ACCESS is given once a year to monitor students’ progress in English language proficiency. This information helps drive teacher instruction to meet the needs of their students by planning instructional differentiation and additional supports. Results will be back to the district in the summer.

There are approximately 80 English Language Learners (ELL) currently enrolled at Beulah Park Elementary. To help support such a high number of students, Beulah Park relies on Mr. Albino, ELL teacher for intermediate grades 3-6, Mrs. Kessler, ELL teacher for primary grades K-2, and Mrs. Gonzalez, ELL para for K-6, to help facilitate English language proficiency. Beulah Park would not be able to accomplish as much as they do without the help of these three fantastic educators.
